Spa Etiquette
The outcome of treating oneself to spa treatments can be extremely exhilarating if all follow these simple guidelines of spa protocol.
Nathan Jones is a poet, storyteller, novelist, journalist, and the author of several books which includes: Revolutionary Erotica, a collection of poetry, The Novel, Black Man in Europe: Mirco-Volume I & II, and Excerpts From My Soul: Read Without Prejudice. Nathan holds an MFA in English and Creative Writing from Mills College, a (TESOL) Trinity College Certificate from Oxford House College, Barcelona, an MA in Ethnic Studies (ABT) from San Francisco State University, and a BA in Sociology from California State University, Hayward. Nathan has been in the field of education for over sixteen years. He has taught at Luxor Academy, New Village Public Charter School, Saint Martin de Porres Catholic School and the College of Alameda. Nathan has also worked in the capacity as a Director of Community Services at Marin Academy, an Academic Mentor at James Madison Middle School and Parker Elementary Schools and an Intervention Specialist for the Oakland Public Schools.
He has been an Instructor for the Level Playing Field Institute, where he has taught English in the Summer Math and Science Honors Academy (SMASH) program, on the UC Berkeley Campus. Nathan has also tutored multiple subjects to urban youth at the Berkeley Public Library. Nathan teaches College Preparatory English for Holy Names University in conjunction with the Upward Bound Project, where he exclusively provides academic services for Oakland High School, Castlemont High School, and Fremont High School students; specializing in teaching critical reading, writing, poetry, and test taking strategies, ultimately preparing students for the SAT I & II Exams and California Exit Exams. Currently, he is an Adjunct Professor of English at Berkeley City College. In his spare time, he enjoys watching documentaries, reading, writing, traveling and inspiring urban youth to live their dreams aloud.
