Eat NOLA Noir to Launch New Orleans' First Black Restaurant Week

New Orleans first ever Black Restaurant Week kicks off right after Mardi Gras from February 12 - 24 featuring black-owned restaurants and bars offering their best dishes and deals. Participating restaurants will feature New Orleans Creole, Soul, African and Caribbean cuisines.

Eat NOLA Noir announced the event in partnership with local area restaurants to bring awareness and support of minority-owned restaurants and stimulate economic growth. The event will happen twice a year and include pop-up events throughout the year to promote local chefs, caterers, bakers and bartenders.

Detroit, Chicago, Houston, Atlanta and Memphis have all launched their versions and New Orleans is the latest city to help curate dining experiences for locals and visitors that represent diversity and culture.
