BBQ Rice with Chicken

Ingredients

  • 4 teaspoons Olive oil
  • 1/4 cup Diced onion
  • 3 Garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 pounds Chicken (boneless breast or thigh meat)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Sea salt
  • 1 cup Uncooked rice
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce, original or mild
  • 1 1/2 cups Water

Preparation

  1. Heat oil inlarge skillet. Add onion and garlic cook for 1 min. Add uncooked rice and stir until coated with oil.
  2. Add chicken and cook until done. Add salt and stir.
  3. Mix together BBQ sauceand water. Carefully add to rice mixture. Bring to boil. Turn fire to medium and let simmer until rice is tender and all water is absorbed. Serve.

With the variety of BBQ sauces available on the market today, this recipe is great for selecting one that will creates the flavor that you like most whether it is sweet, tangy or spicy.
