This cocktail has everything one loves about the South, plus it is fairly light and refreshing with a little zing.
INGREDIENTS
2 ounces HH Bespoke Gin
1 ounce Alley 26 watermelon shrub
.5 ounce lime juice
4 lemon verbena or lemon balm leaves
1 dash Peychaud’s bitters
PREPARATION
1. Add all ingredients in a glass, stir and serve.
TIPS & NOTES
1. Muddle shrub verbena and lime juice. Shake all ingredients and serve over ice.
2. To make our own watermelon shrub, here is a recipe. You can also substitute for watermelon or strawberry soda and a little bit of apple vinegar.
