CHEVOO – Fresh Goat Cheese in Aromatic Spices

We’ll admit it, goat cheese is not at the top of our foodie list but somehow, CHEVOO is slowly changing that.

Based in Healdsburg, California, the makers of this one-of-a-kind artisanal cheese or chèvre, made from goat curd and infused in spices, created a great line of products that can be enjoyed in a variety of ways. Typically, with cheese we tend to favor hard Italian cheeses that are paired nicely on a charcuterie board.  However, there is always room to broaden our horizons and try something new.

Immerse yourself in one, two or all three of CHEVOO’s tasty creations that include Smoked Seas Salt & Rosemary, California Dill Pollen & Garlic and Aleppo-Urfa Chili & Lemon. Each is a harmonious combination between ingredients that will make your taste buds go “Mmm mmm, good!”  Each variety comes in a jar with the goat cheese in cubes.  Enjoy them like that or spear a cube or two across bread or a grab.  You can even crumble them in a salad.  The versatile application is part of what we like.

Eat CHEVOO alone or add it as part of a recipe that calls for goat cheese such as a dip or stuffed chicken.  Nowadays, the food trend is to have multiple uses for single ingredients to help break the mold and encourage culinary creativity.

CHEVOO is available at national specialty chains such as Whole Foods and as well as local ones that vary by state and retails for around $9.95. For a listing of locations, click here.
