Golden Island Jerky

June 12th is National Jerky Day. Don’t ask us where this came from, we are just happy to celebrate it with our new jerky friends at Golden Island.   Over the years, jerky brands have really changed the game not only with how they create a product that doesn’t take your teeth out but also by adding a little zip-a-dee-doo-do-dah with all of the creative flavors.

We recently received the sumptuous creations from Golden Island Jerky which boasts bold flavors with top ingredients. In addition, they are gluten-free and have less sodium than other brands. As we write, we are snacking on the Korean Barbeque Pork Jerky with a savory sesame flavor. Sink your teeth into the Grilled Barbeque Pork Jerky as well as our other favorite, the Sriracha Pork Jerky.   We know, we know. Pork is not your thing. Golden Island has two beef selections, Kung Pao Beef Jerky and the new Chile Lime Beef Jerky that balances the heat with the lime. If we had to call out our ultimate favorite, it would be the Kung Pao which had a lot of flavor, especially from the chili flakes. Yum.

Available at West Coast Target stores, Costco nationwide, Ralph’s in Los Angeles and Safeway and Albertson’s in Portland, you can grab a bag for $6.49 for the pork and $6.99 for the beef.   You can also order online at Amazon.com.
