If you’re an avid tea drinker, you most likely know that finding variety in this beverage can be complicated. Learn how to change up your tea routine here.

There’s no better way to brighten your day than by making yourself a cup of warm tea. As the perfect alternative caffeine source to coffee, tea is a delicious, healthy beverage that will satisfy your taste buds and immune system.

However, this drink can become monotonous if you drink tea every day. If you’re looking to shake up your typical tea routine, check out these creative ways to switch up your favorite tea.

Change Your Honey Variety

One of the most common ingredients to add to tea is honey. This delicious syrup adds the perfect sweetness to almost any tea flavor, and it blends well. However, adding honey to your tea each morning can become dull.

If you’re looking for a change, consider switching the variety of honey you add to your beverage. There are several different varieties of honey to try that are different in taste and texture. Simply experiment with an array of different flavors until you find the perfect new honey to add to your tea.

Experiment With Different Citruses

Many people choose to add hints of lemon to their daily cups of tea. Since lemon has such a potently sweet-and-sour taste, this ingredient is perfect for brightening up an ordinary tea recipe.

If you’re tired of lemon, however, consider experimenting with different citruses instead. For example, oranges, grapefruits, and limes are mouthwateringly delicious fruits that can pack a ton of flavor into your beverages with little to no effort. Depending on the citrus you use, the taste of your tea will differ significantly.

Add New Ingredients to Your Favorite Tea

Honey and lemon aren’t the only beneficial flavors to add to your daily cup of tea. Peppermint, cinnamon and chai are all common ingredients to infuse deep flavor into your tea.

Apart from these additives, herbs such as sage or rosemary are also highly beneficial to add to your beverage. Each of these new ingredients will completely revolutionize your morning tea and encourage you to continue experimenting for future recipes.

Switch to Iced

Changing the temperature of your tea may seem like an unnecessary, inefficient change to make. If you’re someone who exclusively drinks hot or cold tea, switching your temperature preferences is even more challenging.

However, consider testing out the hot or cold version of your favorite tea drink at least once. You may find that iced or hot tea has a significantly different effect on your taste buds.
